Syrians Are TOO Smart!

This is an effective tool to create variety in play time outside of their cages, however, Syrian Hamsters, who aren't even full grown yet, manage to figure out how to hop the fence in under 10 minutes of being introduced to their new playpen! I would highly recommend this for smaller breeds of hamsters, gerbils, or even mice... but Syrians?? Only as toddlers. Meanwhile, don't know what to suggest when it comes to getting it back into its storage box, but it DOES turn itself into an odd metal puzzle... lol
Pros
- Excellent play space for smaller breeds of Hamsters, gerbils, and mice
Cons
- Once your sweet ball of fur figures out how to maneuver the bars, they're hurling themselves "over the wall" and escaping... because OBVIOUSLY, fear is NOT A FACTOR for them :) You then have a $10 playground that won't neatly fit back into its box to be donated to your local pet rescue.

This item works great for my guinea pigs! I purchased three and strung them together for a safe enclosure for them to run around and they love it!

i bought two for my hedgehog to connect and they work great! you will need to buy at least two for small pets bigger than a hamster. shipping was very fast and i will buy again from petguys!!!
Pros
- it keeps small pets contain, so they are not running everywhere.
Cons
- my hedgehog can get out if he gets really bored, but that takes about 5 min to complete so its okay as long as you're watching your pet.

I have the older discontinued version of this pen that did not come with the mat and did not have the little humps on the top. They are great pens in height and length, although I would get 2 of them like I did, especially now that theses are smaller than my pen. A Con to it is that even when guinea pig was the size of a tennis ball he was able to unlatch these, but after a few escapes and searching the entire house for him, it finally came to a stop. I love this pen and am making a full length cage for my piggie this summer out of these so we can get rid of his old small pet store one :)
