Kordon Malachite Green is an effective medication used for the control of various external parasites of freshwater and marine fishes. When used as directed, the medication will control or prevent the following common protozoan parasites: Ichthyophthinus (freshwater Ich), Costra, Chilodonella, Ambiphyra, Cryptocaryon (marine Ich), Epistylis, Oodinium and Trichodina. Kordon's Malachite Green is also effective against common external fungal infections of fishes and eggs which include Achlya and Saprolegnia. An extensive body of literature supports its use as an effective agent in the control of fungus on fish eggs. Made in USA.

I'm still waiting for final results curing ick from my betta with the product. Wrong advice delayed the treatment and effecting a total cure is going slowly .

This stuff is great! It cured a long time stubborn battle with body fungus in my community tank specially my Silver Angel fish! Sadly my gold Angel was not cured, they're all in the same tank along with other community fish but for whatever reason the Gold Angel alone was not cured of the fungus, malachite Green Green had no affect on it.

Cons
- If directions aren't followed or one over medicates the tank death is almost certainly the end result as malachite green is toxic to fish in large amount, also "scaleless" fish are super sensitive to it that even at lower levels they will die if introduced to it, because of that I had to remove my Black Knife fish to another setup while treating the affected tank. I might add that apparently it doesn't work on Gold Angel fish.
