Cute, do sound eerily like a mouse but doesn't get much action

These are a little creepy, if, like me, you HATE mice. They look rather like a big mouse from a distance and the squeak is pretty realistic. However, much to my surprise, our cat isn't crazy about them. He'll give one a go every once in awhile, but VERY seldom. (You always know when he does, thanks to the squeaks they make when moved or handled.) Now, throw down a plastic ball, and he goes nuts!....until it rolls under something and is lost. As far as our cat is concerned, this toy isn't even in the same league as the wiffle ball, and you can get around 10 of those for the same price as these two "mice".
Even though they're a flop at our house, I'm giving 3 stars and a recommendation because I don't think it's the fault of the toy. They look like they'd be very attractive to a cat. It's just a personal cat preference, I think, and our cat likes things that really MOVE....like a hollow hard-plastic ball that, when batted against the wall, bounces back and takes off! These don't do that & he's not impressed.
