Well-made and much better filtration than hang-on-back

I switched from an Emperor hang-on-back (HOB) filter after using HOBs for many years, and I am very pleased with the purchase. This canister filter provides much more space for different kinds of media and superior biological filtration. The setup takes about an hour, but it is very easy to open and do maintenance on after the initial setup. Water is crystal clear and has a good flow rate for my 36 gallon planted tank. Just remember to use some biological media from your old filter if you're switching to avoid having to re-cycle the tank.

Great price and delivery speed

I was very impressed with customer service when they double checked that my delivery address was correct before shipping my item. I love fluval filters. This 407 is an upgrade to an already present 307 … I will be using the body of the 407 and the pump head from the 307.

Powerful poop cleaner!

I'm quite happy with this filter. My 20g tank is super clear now, it keeps up with all the fish poop, it's super easy to clean, and it's actually quieter than the smaller filter I had. Also it's just well built. It's worth the price in my opinion.
