Best thing since sliced bread, slowing eating time to nearly twice as long.

My little Yorkie Puakea loves to eat. She was a couple pounds overweight. Within the first week of receiving my feeder, she has already lost weight. Exactly what was needed to help her weight. We would highly recommend this product.

Since we started using this my dog's meal time went from 1 minute to 10 minutes. The bowl really slowed him down. He doesn't seem to mind using it either.

What took a puppy 30 seconds to eat her food, now takes her at least 2-3 minutes. This is one of the best bowls that I've seen that slows down a speedy eater.

I have a black lab who no matter what time of day it is, or how many times we feed her, would eat like she's never seen food before. She literally eats her entire bowl of food in 45 seconds. This has taken the time it takes her to eat to about 5 minutes. It works great! There is a new yellow lab puppy in the house who may be even faster than our black lab is, so we plan on getting her one when she is a little bigger.

I have four dogs, medium sized (40-65 lbs). My biggest dog eats slowly, my three smaller dogs inhale their food; I wanted to allow my biggest to eat without feeling rushed by the others. I bought all three round SloBowl designs (drop, coral, flower) for my three smaller dogs. All of the bowls work well. All three bowls are the same diameter (~11"), all three hold about 1L (~4 cups) of liquid; however, they are not all the same height. I feed about 2 cups of kibble, plus treats and soup, which all fits nicely into the bowls. The "Drop" is the tallest, the "Flower" is the most shallow. Despite the differences, all three designs make feeding take about the same amount of time. The dogs would suck up their meals in less than 2 minutes, now it takes them more than 10 minutes. The "Drop" is pretty deep in the middle - probably not the best for small or short-snouted dogs.

I give this product FIVE STARS. My dog uses the 'vacuum' method -- scooping food into his mouth and swallowing without chewing -- and this dish is a STRONG STEP FORWARD IN SAVING HIS LIFE. I thought this dish would madden and annoy my dog, but he doesn't seem frustrated; he still eats as quickly as he can, but now it takes him almost three times longer to get all the food out of the dish. This is much better for his battered digestive system. You don't have to lose your dog to agonizing bloat! This dish is an outstanding investment; it's half the price of others I've seen online. It is sturdy, non-slip on the bottom, and big/deep enough to get 2 or 3 good cups of food into it. (I don't mean measuring cups, either. I measure out my dogs' food with a 10 oz. coffee mug.) Additionally, if your dog, like my black Labrador, has "garbage gut" and eats sticks, debris and fallen (and unripe) fruit in your yard, I also recommend a good, roomy muzzle for times when you cannot directly supervise him/her.

I ordered three bowls, all of them different, and it has extremely helped. They all eat slower and I can rotate the bowls to add more fun to their meals.

Our two Weimaraners could fly through a meal in less than a minute. Now they are forced to slow down and enjoy their meal.
