SSSCat Automated Spray Deterrent is a harmless way to keep your cat or dog away from counter tops, by trash cans, rooms, furniture, and areas in your home. The motion-activated sensor detects your pet as it approaches to the forbidden area up to 3 feet. When your pet is detected, the SSScat sends a quick, safe spray that startles your pet. Your pet quickly learns to avoid areas that are off-limits. Requires 4 AAA-batteries (not included).

Great Product!

Very effective in keeping my cat off of the counter tops! Would highly recommend to anyone who has tried but failed at keeping kitty off of certain areas.

Almost effective

We had some difficulty getting one of the tops on while moving the middle piece. We lost some of the aresol due to attempting to put the top on. Great cat deterrence once the cat has been sprayed several times. More times than not, we have set off the spray either being at a distance moving or while close by standing. The cats will be in front of it and it won't go off right away or at all! Will continue to use this product and decide later if we will get refills.

- Top can be difficult to put on, humans tend to set off more than cats

- Could use a larger "ON" display. We are constantly setting the ssscat off because the display is so small, at a glance it's difficult to see.

Seems to be working… keep fragile items off the surrounding area since the first time, it'll definitely cause a stir… VERY sensitive… goes off when we go by which is annoying, but might reduce my husbands late night fridge raids, so maybe not a bad thing… would be better if it could somehow detect just the cat.

Finally my cat is not getting on the counters (they startled me a couple times so I can imagine what the cat thought). The product works as suggested. The only draw back is that within two weeks I had gone through two air canisters. The motion sensors are very sensitive, but after you get used to them they are a little easier to adjust.

- Works well to train your cats to avoid areas without harming them.
Cons
- the cost is a bit high for "air" but it does work
