I have tried many brands of seed for my Zebra Finches, and have found Volkman Avian Science Super Finch Food to be consistently superior. It always smells fresh and slightly fruity and they readily devour it on the daily!

Really good finch seed. My finches and parakeets all love this. It is high quality seed. It smells fresh. It has orange oil. Always happy PeyGuys has it for us.

This food is visibly fresh and has a slight scent of fresh orange. The finches gobble it down and appear to be doing very well with it. I also commend whoever carefully packed the seed for shipping as it arrived intact without a single seed spilled out of the bags.

I have an Aviary in which I have been breeding Gouldian finches for 25 years. It is always a challenge to find a good, affordable seed mix that they like. This is one. My finches, canary and parakeets all just love this seed. It is the cleanest and best seed we have ever found. There is no junk seed seed in here.

Nice packaging but seeds are not great

I've been buying Hagen Finch seed for years and there's no blue, red or other artificial colors, no wheat or corn flour, "condensed cultured skim mik" or other extraneous items in their product. The seeds seem fresher than in Volkman's finch seeds whose "Guaranteed Analysis" is unhelpful. Why is crude fat "not less than 9.75%?" If it's 9.75%, say so. Or could it be 15%? What are they trying to say?
Pros
- You were very nice to apologize for the condition of the box my order arrived in, and acknowledge that there were too many products pushed into the box so the box exploded in transit. The brand of gravel was the best. Keep selling it!
Cons
- Volkman is not the best brand for finch food. Can you get Hagen?

I've been feeding our sparrows Volkman's Finch seed for awhile. I mix it with small Zupreem pellets (the colored & flavored kind) for a complete diet. The birdies like it. The Volkman's seed appears to be of very good quality, but is usually more costly than at Petguys Keven when not reduced; check Amazon for comparison). I had used the Foster & Smith better house brand, but the Volkman seems better still. And in any case, F&S is gone (and Petco is abysmal).
