Excellent doggie toothpaste

Our little Yorkie would not have anything to do with other tastes and brands, but when she tried the poultry Petrodex toothpaste, she loved it and wanted to eat it all by chewing on the toothbrush. So, we just let her have her way and we use old toothbrushes, push the toothpaste down into the bristles, and let her chew away. Toothbrushes are cheap, and we just buy her new ones and replace chewed up ones as needed.
Abby has only had one teeth cleaning seven years ago and that was before we started using Petrodex. When we couldn't find it in PetsMart and other locations for several months, she refused to have anything to do with other toothpastes. Finally found more Petrodex online at PetGuys.com - thank goodness!

I haven't used the product on my dog for long, but with regular use it seems to be cleaning well enough to prevent a trip to the vet for a dental cleaning. My dog doesn't try to eat it as I have seen in other reviews, but he doesn't care much for having his teeth brushed, so that doesn't necessarily reflect on the toothpaste. It says "peanut flavor" on the tube but faintly smells like the eucalyptus oil ingredient in it. It was a great price and I like that it has natural ingredients.
